Hi tribe babes! Molly here from style blog Trendy Chickadee. I'm taking over the 12th Tribe blog this week to bring you a treasure hunt of the most magical photo taking spots in Los Angeles. As a blogger, it can be tricky to find new and never before seen ways to showcase your outfits, which is why my photographer Hanna and I are always on the hunt for the prettiest locations.
When Demi (the original tribe babe and ultimate girl boss) gave me four 12th Tribe pieces to play with, Hanna and I were stoked to start location scouting. In keeping with our styles, we always go for a boho or beachy vibe...a perfect match for the California cool-girl style of 12th Tribe! Read on for how Hanna & I find our hidden treasures and how I styled my 12th Tribe looks.
TOPANGA BEACH | MALIBU
As with most treasure hunts, finding great photos spots around LA requires lots of exploring. My photog and I have shot all the way up and down the PCH (that's Pacific Coast Highway, for all the babes like me who didn't know what that was until I moved here), and just recently we found the gem of Topanga Beach. We love shooting there because it's super versatile...there's succulents (yay!), bamboo (double yay!), palm trees and of course, a sandy beach.
For our shoot at Topanga Beach, I wore the "Full Bloom" Romper. Flowy and floral? Yes please.
HIDDEN VALLEY | THOUSAND OAKS
Hidden Valley is kiiiind of exactly what it sounds like. Tucked between beaches and the hills (Beverly, Hollywood, etc.) is a valley of rolling gold fields and empty country roads. It not only makes for gorgeous photos, but it's a vibe totally different from LA. I love living in the city, but exploring Hidden Valley is a perfect getaway for peace & quiet and some fresh air.
For our shoot in Hidden Valley, I wore the "Tell Me More" Romper and the "Moroccan Sand Tank"
CARPINTERIA BEACHES | SANTA BARBARA
So this one isn't exactly in LA, but it's well worth the drive. Carpinteria is one of the prettiest places in SoCal and best of all, is a local treasure not overcrowded by tourists. I love shooting here because of the laid back vibe and the seriously stunning rocky coastlines.
For our shoot in Carpinteria, I wore the gorgeous "Sun God" Maxi in grey. The way it was flowing in the beach breeze was so dreamy!
