We have to realize that this isn't a trend. It is also not about a quick fix.
As a brand, our participation in the Black Lives Matter movement is essential. For the past week, our team has been studying and educating ourselves on this matter. We are continuing to spend our time reflecting, listening and taking an action to change.
So how can we as a brand be a part of this change? 12th Tribe is committed to use our platform to spread the awareness, expose what's been under the cover, provide resources to support our Black community.
As we were doing some research, we want to point out some facts about the Black female-owned businesses. In one article by Forbes, it states "It was found that Black women-owned businesses earned average revenue of $24,000 per firm vs. $142,900 among all women-owned businesses. The gap between black women-owned businesses’ average revenue and all women-owned businesses is the greatest of any minority."
This insight clearly shows undeniable racial injustice towards Black female-owned companies. Forbes also states, "One of the major ways we can support the black community especially black women-owned businesses beyond social media is with our spending power"
Here are some of the amazing Black female-owned brands we discovered that we should always support.
It just starts here. We can't wait to see the change and we will continue to use our platform to fight for justice for our nation.
