Returns
What is your return policy?
Not eligible for a Return or an Exchange: items purchased on sale or as a part of a promotion, including any item purchased as a part of 'HOLIDAY PROMOS, BLACK FRIDAY, CYBER MONDAY, FLASH SALES, and SECRET SALES.'
For eligible items, we offer refunds, gift card, store credit, or an exchange within 15 days of delivery date for full priced items with tags attached & in original, unworn condition (restrictions apply). If you return for a refund, the return costs are deducted from the total of your refund. An Exchange, Gift Card, and or purchase via Shop Now (within our Loop return platform) will not incur any handling fees.
You must ship back your items with the label we provide, otherwise your return may be rejected.
We reserve the right to refuse returns on items that have been worn, stained/soiled, laundered, or altered in any way. This includes such marks as bodily fluids, deodorant stains & removed/tampered with liners.
Please note: If we receive a non 12th Tribe item with your return, we are not responsible for it and we cannot return it to you.

What is the cost for return shipping?
If you select to return for a refund, the return cost of $9.95 is deducted from the total of your refund.
If you return for a Gift Card or Exchange, we will provide you a pre-paid* label.
*Vintage Thrasher Shorts are not eligible for a pre-paid return label.
My item is damaged after wearing/washing?
12th Tribe will not be held responsible for replacing or accepting a return of any washed items or if an item has been worn and/or tried on and damaged as a result.
Can I return swimwear?
All swimwear items are Final Sale (non-returnable and non-exchangeable).
Can I exchange my items?
Yes! There are several ways to exchange items, absolutely free!

Can I send items back together from different orders?
At this time, we cannot accommodate returns with items from multiple orders. Items from separate orders must be received and processed individually.
Can I still return even if I used a discount code during purchase?
Some promotions are final sale, while others are eligible for return. Final Sale details are made visible on the product page and related promotions via email, sms, and throughout our website.
Do you price match other stores or previous sales on 12th Tribe?
We offer price matching within 3 days for all purchases made from our website or app. We do not offer price matching from other stores.
Can I return an order purchased internationally?
Yes!* Please email hello@12thtribe.com for more information. Please include your order number in the email.*International customers must cover the cost of international return postage.

US EXPRESS ORDERS:
Orders must be placed before 12 PM PST in order to be shipped within one business day. Any orders placed Friday after 12 PM PST through Sunday, will be sent out the following business day. Carrier delays may occur during the holidays.

My package is Lost/Stolen/Damaged?
12TH TRIBE PACKAGE PROTECTION
If you insured your package with 12th Tribe Package Protection, please reach out to us directly on live chat or send us an email to hello@12thtribe.com and we'll help take care of your lost, damaged in transit, or stolen packages.
Claims for packages marked delivered yet not received and where there is no evidence of “porch piracy”, must be made 5 days after the “delivery date” but no longer than 15 days to ensure it was not mis-delivered or found within the premises. Claims for packages presumed to be lost (where the status is not delivered), must be filed after 7 days (20 days for international) and within 30 days from the last scan.
If you did not include any package protection in your order, 12th Tribe is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If you feel as though your package has been lost, please submit a claim with the carrier.
What if my package was returned to sender?
If your package has been returned to the sender due to an address discrepancy, 12th Tribe will not be held responsible. When the item is returned successfully, we will contact you about the shipment and further assist you.
Can I cancel my order or update the shipping address?
To request a cancellation or change in shipping address, please send an email to hello@12thtribe.com within 12 hours of placing your order. Keep in mind that due to our fast order processing, we cannot guarantee cancellations or address changes.
What is a pre-order item and when will it ship?
Pre-orders are advance purchases that secure your spot for highly sought-after items before they arrive at our warehouse. It’s a great way to guarantee that an item will not be sold out upon arrival at our store. The specified pre-order date or time frame indicates when we anticipate receiving the item.
For example, if the pre-order date is set for early June, we expect the item to arrive within the first 1-2 weeks of June, with shipping shortly thereafter.

CAN THE TIME FRAME BE DELAYED OR CHANGE?
While we're doing everything in our control to ensure your item reaches you within the time frame, unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions, customs clearance, and carrier delays can happen. If there's any switch in the timeline, our customer service team will get in touch, providing updated shipping time frames. If the new date isn't convenient for you, we're more than happy to assist in swapping it out for an available in-stock style.
HOW DOES MY PREORDER SHIP?

Do you ship internationally?
We currently offer international shipping to a wide range of countries. Shipping rates for international orders will be automatically calculated during the checkout process.
Do you ship orders to the UK & EU? If so, how will orders be shipped?
Yes! We ship to the UK and EU. To ensure your order reaches you smoothly, we’ve partnered with DHL International Shipping.
Who handles your international shipping?
We've partnered with DHL for all of our international shipping needs, ensuring that your orders arrive safely and promptly, no matter where you are in the world.
Do I have to pay duties and taxes?
12th Tribe is not responsible for any duties or taxes assessed by customs for international orders. International customers must cover these costs.
How can I track my package?
Once your order has been fulfilled, you will receive an email from us with your tracking information. You can track the progress of your order directly on your 12th Tribe tracking page.
When will I receive my order?
We want you to receive your order as fast as possible! International orders are typically delivered within 8-14 business days once the order has been fulfilled with the estimated delivery date shown on your tracking page thereafter.
Why has my package stopped moving? (international orders)
If your package appears to have stopped moving, don't worry! First, check the tracking information for any updates or delivery exceptions. Sometimes packages can be delayed due to customs processing. If there hasn’t been any movement for several days, please contact DHL's customer service team directly. You can reach them by phone at 1-800-225-5345 or by email at customerservice@dhl.com

Refunds
How long will it take to receive my refund?
It takes 12-16 business days for processing from the point the item is delivered to us. Once your refund is processed, it can take an average of 2-4 business days to appear depending on your bank.
Why didn't I receive the full amount in my refund?
If you return for a refund, the shipping and return costs are deducted from the total of your refund.
Package Protection and shipping are non-refundable once your item has been processed and is no longer eligible for cancellation.

What is SHOP NOW and how does it work?

How do I receive my bonus credit?
The bonus credit is applied automatically when you opt for Shop Now while making your return. You will see the credit apply to your cart page.
How do I use my Shop Now credit?
Simply select Shop Now during your returns process. You will be prompted back to our site to continue shopping. When you're ready, the credit will be automatically applied to the checkout page.
Can I use a discount code with Shop Now?
Yes! You can enter the discount code at check out.
Can I use Shop Now on sale marked items?
Yes, you can definitely use your Shop Now credit on sale marked items. *All sale marked items are final sale.
How do I pay the balance for my new order if it's worth more than my Shop Now credit?
You can use credit or debit to pay the remaining balance if the final total is more than the value of your Shop Now credit.
Is there a return cost for my original order if I use Shop Now?
No, one of the great benefits of Shop Now is that we’ll comp the return label for your original items! Just make sure to drop off your return items at the post within our 15 day return policy.
Why is my refund showing on my original item and not the order I purchased with Shop Now?
Since your original payment transaction was through your original order, if you return an exchange or Shop Now, your refund will be reflected on your original order.

We are not accepting ONLINE ORDER returns in-store. For IN-STORE ORDERS, all returns are valid for gift cards and exchanges only within 15 days.

What is instant exchange? How does it work?
INSTANT EXCHANGE
You have up to 15 days from the date of delivery to request an exchange.
Once your return is on its way back to us, your exchange order will be shipped.

No, one of the great benefits of Instant Exchange is that we’ll comp the return label for your original items! Just make sure to drop off your return items at the post within our 15 day return policy.
When will my Exchange order ship?
Once you have completed your return request where you will also be prompted to place your exchange, you will receive an email within 24 hours confirming that your exchange order has been created. Your exchange order will be shipped as soon as your return is on its way back to us. Shipping usually takes between 6 to 8 business days. Your exchange is free so we’ll comp the return label and the standard shipping for your exchange.

Can I return my exchange order for store credit or a refund?
You can return your exchange order for store credit or a refund. With store credit, you’ll be able to make another purchase. With a refund, the refund will be issued to your original order associated with your original payment method.

If you opt for a gift card, we’ll still comp the return label. If you opt for a refund a return cost will be applied to your refund.

Additional Questions
How should I care for my swimsuit?
To maintain the pristine condition of your swimsuit, we recommend hand washing it separately with cold water and a gentle soap after each use. Avoid soaking and dry it in the shade. Do not pack wet suits with other garments and avoid keeping them balled up, especially when wet. Please refrain from dry cleaning and minimize contact with sunscreens, oils, chlorine, and rough surfaces to prevent fading and damage to the fabric. For sanitary reasons, we ask that you try on items over underwear.
