FIT TECHNICIAN
The Fit Technician will work with PD and Buyers on a daily basis. They will ensure all production requirements such as colors, trims, fabric quality & fit are met. All issues are expected to be communicated to your manager, the buyer and/or vendor as soon as possible. The Fit Tech will attend all fittings and communicate with Vendors daily. Fit Tech will Adhere to the production calendar and assist the department in achieving all deadline goals. Fit Tech will evaluate TOP garments for construction, quality, fit and compliance to 12th TRIBE standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all samples and mark them as received in WIP
- Measure production samples and upload the measurements and grade rules into Tech Pack
- Cross reference the samples to the tech packs and make sure all the design elements match the Tech Packs
- Prep for fittings (write dates on all samples, reach out for costing, upload photos in slack, locate previous samples act)
- Fit all samples on fit models, keep record of fit comments and update the measurement specs into Tech Packs
- Help update tech packs based on fit comments
- Communicate all fit comments to the factory in a timely manner 1-2 business days
- Evaluate PPs, TOPs for fit, construction, quality
- Measure PPs,TOPs to evaluate specs
- Maintain measurement spec standards and grade rules for core styles
- Ensure the WIP is updated with all sample information
- Work within calendar to ensure deadlines are maintained
- Following up with vendors for Spec Sheets and grading
- Communicate issues effectively to manager, buying team and vendors
- Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
2+ Years experience as a Fit Technician
In-depth knowledge of garment construction and design
Experience with all categories Tops, Dresses, Bottoms, Outerwear
Good time management skills, ability to prioritize, and problem solving skills.
